The Coral-Balmoral Memorial web site aims to provide a central location to tell the story of the Battle of Coral-Balmoral, and the Battle’s Victoria Cross for Australia recipient, Gundagai born and raised Private Richard Norden VC.
The website has been developed to complement the Gundagai Coral–Balmoral Memorial, providing visitors with additional historical context, photographs, maps and background information relating to the battles and Australia’s involvement in Vietnam during 1968.
While the site offers an introduction and overview, the deeper human story of Coral–Balmoral is best understood through the voices of those who served. Coral-Balmoral was the largest and most protracted battle fought during the Vietnam War, yet very little is known about this battle.
